Frequently Asked Questions

Q: What are the hardware requirements?

A: 1 Server per 5-25 client workstations minimum. 1 unmanaged Gigabit switch. We recommend, sell, and support modern Intel terminals, however the OS we provide will boot from about 85-90% of existing computers. Your existing computers do need at least 4GB of RAM.

Q: Can I purchase my own equipment?

A: Yes. But this makes you responsible for physical assembly and logical configuration. Ordering new equipment from us will be 'ready out of the box' for a nominal fee.

Q: Do you manage our printers?

A: Yes. We'll manage 1 printer per 10 clients included with every Core-SS service.

Q: Do you use a SLA agreement, and if so can I see it?

A: Yes and yes. Click here to request a copy.

Q: What type of payments do you accept?

A: We accept checks, ACH, PayPal, and Bitcoin. Please note when using PayPal, you are responsible for the processing fees, usually about 3%.

Q: What is the transition to your system like?

A: Of course it is different for everyone but is mostly painless. Our service comes with 2 hrs. per user, direct transitional support, help videos, and web meetings if needed. If your existing workstations are used, a simple restart will allow you to boot back into your old system as you get situated and your files etc. moved to the new system. We show you how easily all of this works.

Q: How do you bill?

A: Billing cycles are monthly and sent out electronically.

Q: Do you offer after hours emergency support?

A: Yes, and our fees for this premium service is very fair. Please see our rates page for more details.

Q: Can I install your equipment myself?

A: Yes. Our network packages come to you completely configured and literally need to be plugged in. For the DIY manager we'll walk you through every step and can have your network up usually within a few hours.

Q: Do you offer onsite service?

A: We are primarily a remote managed service. We do however perform onsite installation in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, and Illinois. If you are outside of this area we will find a reputable local IT company to wire up your office.
